Holly Boylan

Senior Associate

Holly is a criminal defence lawyer with Furstenberg Law.

Holly was admitted to legal practice in August 2018 after completing her Bachelor of Laws at Victoria University and graduating with Honours. Her Honours thesis studied the operation of the Sex Offender Registration Act 2004 (Vic) and particularly its impact on low risk and youthful offenders. She feels strongly about the restrictive impact this legislation has on registered offenders.

Following this, Holly completed a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice with the College of Law.

Prior to admission, Holly worked as a paralegal for five years in law firms in Melbourne and regional Victoria. This enabled her to gain an extensive understanding and experience in criminal procedure.

Holly practises in both summary and indictable crime. She is particularly passionate about defending the accused charged with sexual offences, but her attention to detail ensures all of her client’s matters are handled with great care and diligence. She is committed to approaching each case with professionalism, compassion and dedication.

In 2021, Holly was included in the Doyle’s Guide listing of Victorian Criminal Law Rising Stars for individuals practising across Criminal Law, Traffic Law and White Collar crime matters within the Victorian legal market.
